The course starts on Thursday July the 19th from 4pm. The course ends on Saturday 28th of July, after lunch.
Open to all levels and nationalities, however a minimum of one year’s guitar playing is required. The course is open to adults, to accompanied minors. Anyone who is 16 years old will need a letter of consent signed by his or her parents. This document can be requested.
The teachers will work on interpretation, technique, sight-reading, and preparation for exams, competitions or the professional concert. There will be a strong emphasis on ensemble playing. Individual lessons will alternate with ensemble work, as is the tradition of the course. Masterclasses, the guitar orchestra and classes on technique will be ‘open to all’.

Guitar France is directed by Gary Ryan (Royal College of Music, London). Craig Ogden (Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester) will once again be joining him to tutor and perform throughout the course. Gary Ryan and Craig Ogden are two of the world’s finest guitarists, both being internationally acclaimed performers and inspirational teachers.
The course runs for four full days with a strong emphasis placed on performance. It is intended for players from around Grade 6 standard through to advanced players and teachers.
You will receive expert advice from experienced concert performers on playing in public, interpretation, technical development and practice. There will also be regular sight-reading and opportunities for ensemble work.
